I think Intramuros is becoming a favorite of mine. In recent months, I've been there thrice now and I'm happy to note that it continues to surprise me with the new things I see.
Met up with a friend and we ended up going to San Agustin museum (under the guise that we'd be able to go to Father Blanco's garden - which was still closed to the general public by the way). But I wouldn't say it's a total waste of time, we ended up with some good photos.
Then we went to Illustrados (this nearby restaurant). Of course our intent was to take pictures but we had to pretend to be there for the food too. Haha.
Last stop was UST. I have admit, I've been resisting this idea of his from the get go. I couldn't wrap my head around the thought of taking pics of a school (no offense!) But, I'd be the first to admit it if I'm wrong and, in this case, I was. I TOTALLY LOVED the place! Such a peaceful irony to the hustling and bustling happening in the crowded streets outside its walls (or maybe it just seemed that way since it's technically still summer). From the arch to the park to the main hall to the library... oooh especially the one with the fountain where the water shoots off the ground (sorry, forgot the name). Kinda reminds me of this park I saw in NY before.
The bad news is that by the time we reached UST, it was too hot (think 12nn-1pm) to be doing any kind of shooting. But I seriously wanna go back and take more pics there next time.
Oh, and just to be fair, not all these shots are mine.
seem to have developed a fascination for the crucifix
a reproduction of an old choir book (or maybe the real thing, i dunno)
loved the intricately carved wooden seats for the choir
you can still see the gold leaf chipping off
a peek inside the bamboo organ
the base of the choir book stand
how popular a wedding venue? three times i've been here and all 3 times, someone was getting hitched
unlucky #13 (pinaghirapan nya yang shot na yan! haha) 2 Comments

The Arch of the Centuries
dunno the name of the tree but pretty flower
midday sun (the pic does not give justice to how HOT it was that time)
looks like mutant eyelashes
atop the main building (could easily pass for some European church)
it looks like an IV but swear, this is an actual item being sold in one of the stores (cute huh!)
